African Laminate Stock #11

African Laminate Stock #11 is crafted from Imbuia (Ocotea porosa), Cedar (Cedrus) and Kiaat (Pterocarpus angolensis) wood.  The Imbuia wood is a very hard wood and is used for wooden floors and high-end furniture. Cedar wood can withstand many conditions, it does not shrink, swell, warp or decay even when there are severe changes in the weather. Kiaat is renowned for its strength and durability.  It has extremely low shrinkage rates and is considered a very stable wood.

African Laminate Stock #11 is a laminated stock made from Imbuia, Cedar and Kiaat wood.  We decided to craft an ELR stock from these stunning pieces of wood. It is a 5-layer Laminate. The stock includes an Adjustable Cheek Riser, a 2-way length of pull and an Adjustable Bag Rider.  APW supply precision Picatinny, ARCA and Anschutz rails. ARCA rails are fitted as standard but can be interchanged on the website.

African Laminate Stock #11 has a 2K Satin finish.  2K is a two-component paint that requires mixing with a hardener before application. This ensures a reliable easy to maintain finish that enhances the wood colors and patterns, with a dedicated process for rifle stock builders and gunsmiths to complete the inletting.

The machining and profiling of Stock of the Bushveld rifle stocks are carried out by MG Rifle Stocks, which also supplies the Adjustable Cheek Riser, 2-Way and 3-Way Length of Pull.  The 2-way and the adjustable Cheek Riser is supplied as standard on specific rifle stock styles.

The profiled rifle blanks require inletting.  Meaning a registered gunsmith must inlet the action profile and barrel inletting into the stock, and pillar bed plus bedding.
