African Laminate Stock #9
African Laminate Stock #9 is crafted from Wild Olive Wood (Olea europaea subsp. africana) also known as Olienhout or African Olive wood. The wood is prized among turners, furniture makers and carvers for its strength and aesthetically pleasing grain patterns. Tree structures are often extremely irregular. It is a very hard, dense and non-porous wood it is also durable and resistant.
African Laminate Stock #9 is a laminated stock made from Wild Olive Wood and set with a red epoxy. We decided to craft a Tactical stock from this stunning pieces of wood. The stock includes an adjustable cheek riser and 2-way length of pull. APW supply precision Picatinny, ARCA and Anschutz rails. ARCA rails are fitted as standard but can be interchanged on the website.
African Laminate Stock #9 has a 2K Gloss finish. 2K is a two-component paint that requires mixing with a hardener before application. This ensures a reliable easy to maintain finish that enhances the wood colours and patterns, with a dedicated process for rifle stock builders and gunsmiths to complete the inletting.
The machining and profiling of Stock of the Bushveld rifle stocks are carried out by MG Rifle Stocks, which also supplies the Adjustable Cheek Riser, 2-Way and 3-Way Length of Pull. The 2-way and the adjustable Cheek Riser is supplied as standard on specific rifle stock styles.
The profiled rifle blanks require inletting. Meaning a registered gunsmith must inlet the action profile and barrel inletting into the stock, and pillar bed plus bedding.
